NPR News, an app for fans of the public radio network, was listed as one of Gizmodo’s Essential Apps for 2009. The app reached the #1 position in the News category, and #8 position in the Free Apps overall. The app received press from Mashable, TUAW, Gizmodo, CNET, MacRumors, and 148apps.
